Frequently Asked Questions
Is using this platform legal advice?
No. This platform is a directory and matching service, not a law firm. AI-assisted suggestions are informational and are not legal advice. Using the platform does not create an attorney-client relationship. You choose whether to contact or hire an attorney.
How are attorneys verified?
Attorneys submit bar jurisdictions and license evidence. Reviewers verify before a verified badge appears. Unverified profiles are published as self-reported and never shown as verified. Verification can be configured for reverification and is suspended, expired, or restricted when licensing status changes.
How does AI matching work?
Our shared eligibility engine first applies mandatory filters — active account, verification, licensing, jurisdiction, practice area, publication, and compliance. Then it considers relevant factors like practice area, jurisdiction, language, and consultation preference. The AI cannot override licensing, verification, or compliance restrictions.
What information is shared with an attorney?
Only what you explicitly consent to share. Before submitting a consultation request, you review exactly what will be shared and with whom. No sensitive legal narrative is sent in email or text notifications — authenticated links are used instead.
Does the platform charge referral fees or take a percentage of settlements?
No. We do not charge a percentage of settlements or legal recoveries, and we do not enable referral fees, paid leads, or outcome-based fees by default. Attorneys and firms pay a monthly subscription where permitted.
Is the platform available in my state?
Every U.S. state and Washington, D.C. has a record in our system. However, regulated activities are disabled by default in each jurisdiction and enabled only after documented compliance review. Nationwide technical availability is not legal authorization.
How do I request data deletion or export?
Registered users can submit privacy and data requests — export, deletion, correction, or consent withdrawal — from the Privacy & Data Request Center or their dashboard.
